Tuesday's Top Games
The best games around the area on Tuesday
There are a handful of intriguing games featuring top ranked teams across the Capital City tonight. Here are the best games to keep an eye on.
#2 (D1) Reynoldsburg (7-3) at #1 (D1) Newark (10-0)
The Game of the Night is at Newark as Reynoldsburg looks to keep its 28-game OCC-Buckeye win streak alive against the last team to beat them in league play. Newark won this game at home all the way back on Dec. 22, 2023 and it has been a very long time since the Raiders have been defeated in conference since. Newark is the last remaining undefeated team left in the area and one of only three teams with that distinction with the others being Fredericktown in Division V and Shekinah Christian in Division VII. The winner of this game will have sole possession of first place in the league and will be in the driver’s seat for the conference title. Reynoldsburg is ranked lower than they should be in the MaxPreps RPI, so a win tonight would do wonders for the Raiders. We see this one coming down to the wire.

#10 (D1) Gahanna Lincoln (7-3) at #8 (D1) Olentangy Orange (5-4)
Two of the hottest teams in Division I will square off as Gahanna Lincoln heads to Olentangy Orange. Both squads are riding four-game winning streaks and playing the best basketball of their young seasons. Gahanna Lincoln is looking to once again establish themselves as a top team in the area and no better way to do it than against the best pound for pound program in Central Ohio over the last three years. Orange has bounced back strongly from a 1-4 start, picking up massive wins over Hilliard Bradley and Africentric last week. The Pioneers will continue to be tested this week with games against Olentangy Liberty on the road on Friday and at a neutral site game against Cincinnati Princeton on Saturday. It’s not often you get the chance to pick up midweek signature wins in the non-conference, which makes this a big opportunity for both teams.
