Top Performers: Reynoldsburg over St. Ignatius
The Raiders delivered a stellar performance in a big win over the defending state champs
BEXLEY, OH - Not even a month into the season, we’ve been treated to high-level games between teams across the state that hope to boost their experience and résumé come postseason.
Sunday at the 6th Annual 5C Classic at Capital was no exception, in particular the evening duel between undefeated Reynoldsburg and the defending Division I state champion Cleveland St. Ignatius, a rematch of last year’s thriller that saw the Raiders fall one point short in double overtime.
Reynoldsburg was able to get their revenge as they pulled away and outscored the Wildcats by eight points in the final period to secure a 73-63 victory.
The Raiders have an abundance of talent and scholarship players, with three individuals already committed to Division I programs along with a couple others that should make that leap as well.
