Teays Valley 52, Central Crossing 41 - Prospect Scouting Report
Teays Valley's sophomore guard duo of Kole Nungester and Brody Fields combined for 38 in a road win
Wednesday’s non-conference battle between Teays Valley and Central Crossing was a tale of two halves. While the host Comets held a 28-21 halftime lead, the second half was much different from the first, with Teays Valley (6-1) outscoring Central Crossing (3-5) 31-13 in the final two periods to come away with a 52-41 victory.
Teays Valley was led mightily by its sophomore guard duo of Kole Nungester and Brody Fields, who combined for 38 points. Nungester shot a blistering 6-of-7 from three and paced the Vikings with 22 points, while Fields scored it from multiple levels and finished with 16 points. Teays Valley senior big man Sam Miller did a solid job setting up Nungester and Fields for scoring opportunities, as multiple college coaches were on hand to watch him play.
Let’s take a look at some top performers from Wednesday’s game.
