Season Preview: OCC-Cardinal

Can any of the six division teams emerge after an underwhelming previous season?

COLUMBUS, OH - For a two year period between the 2022 and 2023 seasons, there was no team as dominant in conference play as Dublin Jerome, as the Celtics went 20-0 in division games during that stretch and appeared in back-to-back District finals.

Marysville’s CJ Collins (above) will hope to lead the Monarchs to a breakout season in an open OCC-Cardinal field.

But after head coach Richie Beard had to part ways with an incredibly accomplished 2023 class, it allowed for greater parity amongst Cardinal teams. Jerome ended up fourth in the conference standings in 2024, while Marysville and Olentangy shared co-champ honors both with a 7-3 conference record.
