COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The stars were shining bright on Wednesday during the Division II district semifinal matchup between Bloom Carroll and Jonathan Alder. The Pioneers found themselves behind the eight ball from the jump when the Bulldogs stormed out to an 18-4 lead after one quarter. Bloom Carroll continued their domination in the second period, extending their lead to 23 heading into halftime. The Pioneers battled back in the third period, cutting the lead to 16 on multiple occasions but the effort was too little, too late. Bloom Carroll used a big fourth quarter from Emily Bratton to seal the deal and move on to the district finals.
