Olentangy Liberty 66, Dublin Coffman 56 - Prospect Scouting Report
Nick Butterfield drained six threes and scored 23 points to power Olentangy Liberty on the road
Every game in the OCC-Central is a dogfight. That was the case once again on Friday, as Olentangy Liberty and Dublin Coffman battled for 32 minutes. The Patriots were the tougher team and pulled away in an impressive second half for a 66-56 victory. Let’s take a look at some intriguing college basketball prospects from the game.
Tyler Kropp (6’9 hybrid post / Olentangy Liberty / 2025)
The 6-foot-9 Kropp was one of the more highly recruited players in Central Ohio this offseason, picking up nine Division I offers over the course of the AAU season and competing for Argentina’s 18u national team in the FIBA World Cup. Kropp was impressive on the interior for the Patriots in a physical matchup with Coffman. The junior big man has a soft shooting touch, has really worked on his body and become a strong interior force which helped him in Liberty’s win. We like when Kropp gets aggressive and bangs his body in the post, as he was most effective in that area of the court tonight. When he doesn’t settle for jumpers and uses his size and strength effectively, Kropp is a tough matchup to deal with. We saw why so many different Division I programs felt he was worth a scholarship this past summer. With him in the post, Olentangy Liberty will have an advantage in most games it plays this season. Kropp has a lot of room to operate in underneath due to the Patriots’ hot shooters on the perimeter, which makes this team an offensive juggernaut when their shots are falling.
