COLUMBUS, Ohio - - At the historic Columbus East High School, with the bleachers full, and cities eyes fixated on this game, the Vikings became the first team since the 2015-2016 Northland Vikings to repeat as City League champions. Coach Tihon Johnson is now 2-0 in City League title games as the leading man for the Vikings, despite only spectating on the bench for religious reasons. Northland took control of the game early and did not look back, despite South’s best efforts to get back into the game in the third quarter, Northland closed and won their 11th City League championship since 2008.
