Midwest Live presented hundreds of high school basketball players the opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of college coaches. Here are some rising seniors who helped their recruiting stock by playing at a high level at Midwest Live.

Griffin Straub's High School Career Home

Griffin Straub | 2026 6’7 F St. Clairsville

Griffin Straub came out firing in his first game and never let up. The high-upside forward was hitting threes, pull-up jumpers, stepback jumpers, and catching alley-oops all weekend. Straub started with a 30-point game and continued his dominance after that. He currently holds offers from Concord and Findlay, and will likely pick up more offers during the July live period.

Avery Pequignot | 2026 6’1 PG Indian Lake

An underrated guard that I hadn’t seen much of had a HUGE game on Friday. Avery Pequignot had 39 points on 9 triples against Patrick Henry. The Senior guard can flat out shoot the ball, and also plays with a lot of positive energy and passion. Small colleges should take a look at Pequignot for his shooting ability and motor as he attempts to lead his team to a CBC title this winter.
