Hilliard Bradley Completes Epic Comeback to Win Districts
Cade Norris delivered an unforgettable 36-point performance as Jags overcome late deficit
COLUMBUS, OH - District finals Saturday started off with a duel that should be remembered as an all-time unforgettable classic. The higher-seeded Hilliard Bradley Jaguars faced a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but used an 11-0 run built off a hero-like performance from senior Cade Norris to beat Westerville Central 64-62 at Ohio Dominican on Saturday.
For most of the game, it appeared the Warhawks had the upper hand, as they began the first quarter with a 15-4 lead and despite some occasional runs from the Jaguars, held a marginal advantage through most of the second half. Although they cooled some in the second and third period from the field, Central got hot beyond the arc and hit their third three of the fourth when Josh Henderson’s triple gave the Warhawks a 58-45 lead with just under six minutes to go.
