Gahanna Lincoln 78, Westerville South 69 - Prospect Scouting Report

Gahanna Lincoln's depth and quality guard play helped the Lions pick up a great win on the road

Friday night in a packed Westerville South gym, we got to start the 2023-24 high school basketball season in style. Gahanna Lincoln and Westerville South went back and forth all night, with the Lions pulling away in overtime for a 78-69 victory. The Lions were led with four players in double figures, with KJ Reynald scoring 24 points, Nas Turner scoring 17, Xavier Rogers adding 16 and Jonathan Whiteside pitching in 13.

Westerville South was carried in more ways than one by junior guard Kruz McClure, who scored more than half of his team’s points with 35 points. McClure played the entire game and nearly did enough to lead the short-handed Cats to a huge opening win.
