OCC titles are on the line while two big City League games are on tap to help determine division champions. Let’s take a look at the top games on Friday in Central Ohio.
#12 Westerville South (9-5) at #2 Delaware Hayes (15-1)
Revenge is the theme of the night in Delaware on Friday. The one-loss Pacers host a Westerville South team that is responsible for their only blemish of the season. In that game, Kruz McClure went absolutely bonkers and dropped 40 points to hand Delaware Hayes a crucial loss. Hayes now holds a one-game lead over Westerville North, with Westerville South a game behind that. Westerville South could play spoiler on Friday if they’re able to complete the season sweep of Hayes. Hayes has the depth advantage, but Westerville South might have the best overall player in the game in McClure. Look for this to be a 32 minute fight.
#6 Hilliard Bradley (12-4) at #23 Olentangy Liberty (9-7)
The OCC-Central is a two-horse race at this point between undefeated Olentangy Orange and one loss Hilliard Bradley. The Jags hit the road for a big test at an Olentangy Liberty team that has faded a bit down the stretch. Bradley is playing at an elite level as of late, winning with style and tough defense. One week away from a rematch at home against Orange, Hilliard Bradley is in a must-win scenario tonight. Olentangy Liberty has a matchup problem in 6-foot-9 Tyler Kropp and will need to go to him early and often to overcome a Jaguars team that is playing as well as anyone in the area.
