Better late than never, but never late is better said the famous theologian Drake. Anyways, here's the top games to watch on Friday night just moments before they get started.
Full transparency: I am a high school teacher who had a very busy Friday at school and never had a chance to get this out earlier. With that out of the way, here’s the top games to watch in the area.
#8 (D1) Groveport Madison at #3 (D1) Newark
A battle of a defending district champion vs. runner-up and in Groveport Madison’s case, it’s the first time in 40 years they can make that claim. The Cruisers are looking to build off last season’s Cinderella run to the elite eight with a huge win in a tough environment at Newark. #9 (D1) Olentangy Liberty at #4 (D1) Dublin Coffman
A classic matchup of new up and coming but kinda already established suburb vs. established suburb that has been of the elite class for a little while longer. These are two teams that are defending district champions that both gave Reynoldsburg a run for their money replacing elite senior talent. Dublin Coffman returns more and wasn’t hit with the prep school bug like Liberty was, however, anything can happen when these teams match up.
