Four local teams advance to the state tournament: Who, where and when do they play?
The first year of seven divisions have created a hodgepodge of state semifinal matchups spread across the state
For all the negative things that have been written about the OHSAA making the move to seven divisions for basketball this year, one positive is that it has allowed a handful of schools to make playoff runs that they might have not been able to otherwise. It’s created for lasting memories for communities, big and small, and it’s been fun to follow.
Locally, we have four teams in the state tournament. For the first time in the modern era, we have two teams represented at the state tournament in Division I - Reynoldsburg and Olentangy Orange - who are opposite one another in the bracket and could meet for a state championship.
