Division II/III Top 10 - Week 10
River Valley enters the top three following a big week of games
We are less than two weeks away from the Central District tournament draw. With the MaxPreps RPI determining seeds, this year’s draw will be more anticipated than any ever before. Here’s our latest top 10 in Division II/III.
1. Bishop Hartley (14-1)
This Week: Saturday at Mansfield Senior
MaxPreps RPI: #1 (D2)
It’s been business as usual for Bishop Hartley as of late. The Hawks went a perfect 3-0 in the first half of Central Catholic League play, taking down a talented DeSales team last Friday. They get a break from CCL action this weekend and will hit the road to take on a tough Mansfield Senior team that is 12-4 and unbeaten vs. Central Ohio teams, knocking off Mount Vernon, Eastmoor Academy and Columbus South.
2. Columbus Academy (13-2)
This Week: Tuesday vs. #7 Bishop Ready, Thursday at International, Saturday at Kipp Columbus
MaxPreps RPI: #1 (D3)
Columbus Academy has been very hot as of late, winning nine of their last 10 games dating back to the Dec. 16 loss at Bishop Ready. The Vikings have an opportunity to surge to first place in the Central Buckeye League on Tuesday when they host that same Bishop Ready that gave them their only loss in division play. It’ll be a busy week after that with two non-league games against International and Kipp.
3. River Valley (13-3)
This Week: Thursday at Shelby, Saturday at #24 (D1) DeSales
MaxPreps RPI: #2 (D2)
River Valley rises two spots in the rankings this week after great wins over Bloom-Carroll and Marion Harding. The Vikings will be tested in a major way once again this week with road matchups at 13-2 Shelby and a DeSales team that is capable of beating the majority of teams in Division I. If River Valley is 15-3 by next week, that will be a massive resume booster, as they are in a great spot right now in the RPI rankings.
