Division II and III Top 10 - Week 9
Bishop Hartley remains atop the power rankings heading into Week 9
We are in league title race season and the action could not get any better. With January event season behind us, we transition into tightly contested league play with multiple titles on the line. Let’s take a look at the latest top 10 in Division II and III.
1. Bishop Hartley (13-1)
This Week: Friday vs. #21 (D1) DeSales
MaxPreps RPI: #1 (D2)
No team has been more impressive outside of Division I than Bishop Hartley. The Hawks are absolutely rolling in Andreas James’ second season at the helm. They picked up three Division I wins last week, knocking off ranked Teays Valley, St. Charles and Olentangy Berlin (who is responsible for one of Columbus Academy’s two losses). The Hawks host No. 21 (D1) DeSales on Friday for a vitally important game for their pursuit of a Central Catholic League title.
2. Columbus Academy (12-2)
This Week: Friday at Bexley
MaxPreps RPI: #2 (D3)
Tied for the league lead in the Central Buckeye League, Columbus Academy has put together some impressive performances as of late, winning eight of their last nine games. A key road win at Worthington Christian last week pushed them into a three-way tie for the lead with a big matchup vs. Bishop Ready one week away.
3. Harvest Prep (13-4)
This Week: No games this week
MaxPreps RPI: #3 (D3)
Harvest Prep has been an offensive juggernaut in the month of January, scoring over 80 points four different times. The Warriors have this week off before heading to Division I Dublin Jerome for a non-league tussle next Tuesday. Senior guard Adonis Abrams has been playing some of his best basketball as of late for the Warriors.
