Division II and III Top 10 - Week 8
Columbus Academy made a jump in the rankings after a big road win at Worthington Christian
There is a great crop of teams in Division II and III this year. The past week of basketball gave us a handful of top 10 matchups which have shuffled these rankings a bit. Here is our latest top 10.
1. Bishop Hartley (11-1)
This Week: W vs. #25 (D1) Teays Valley, Friday at St. Charles, Saturday at Olentangy Berlin
MaxPreps RPI ranking: #1 (Division II)
Bishop Hartley remains at No. 1 after a great win over a ranked Division I team in Teays Valley. The Hawks are challenging themselves once again versus Division I opponents as they’ll hit the road to take on St. Charles and Olentangy Berlin this weekend. Hartley has yet to lose a game in regulation this season.
2. Columbus Academy (11-2)
This Week: W at #3 Worthington Christian, Saturday vs. Whitehall
MaxPreps RPI ranking: #1 (Division III)
Columbus Academy forced a three-way tie in the Central Buckeye League when they went on the road and knocked off Worthington Christian on Tuesday. Get ready for a brain freeze. Columbus Academy lost at Bishop Ready. Worthington Christian won at Bishop Ready. And Columbus Academy won at Worthington Christian. The Vikings will look to keep hold of that first place tie when they host Whitehall in league play on Saturday.
3. Worthington Christian (9-4)
This Week: L vs. #2 Columbus Academy, Saturday at Buckeye Valley
MaxPreps RPI ranking: #5 (Division III)
Worthington Christian makes a jump up three spots after going on the road and defeating Bishop Ready last Friday. Worthington Christian’s win at Ready snapped a 29-game home win streak for the Silver Knights and marked the first time since Feb. 12, 2021 that Ready was defeated on their home floor. The Warriors, however, fell at home themselves against Columbus Academy which created a three-way tie for first in the CBL.
