Division II and III Top 10 - Week 6
Bishop Ready is back on top, while Jonathan Alder moves up to No. 2 after a big win at Bishop Hartley
The New Year has already given us some big headlines. Jonathan Alder went on the road and defeated previously unbeaten Bishop Hartley on Tuesday, ending the final undefeated streak of any team outside of Division I. While no new teams enter the top 10, we have teams ranked in different spots from last week. Let’s take a look at the newest top 10
1. Bishop Ready (5-2)
Games this week: Friday vs. Washington Court House
The Silver Knights went 1-1 last weekend out of town. They have an intriguing game on Friday against a Washington Court House team that is 8-1. Senior Micah Germany is having a first team all-district type of season for Ready.
2. Jonathan Alder (6-3)
Games this week: W at #1 Bishop Hartley, Friday vs. Tecumseh
Alder jumps seven spots from last week and four spots from where they would’ve been ranked had they not upset Bishop Hartley in overtime. The Pioneers have one of the area’s best guards in senior Peyton Heiss, who dropped 35 (27 after halftime) in the win at Hartley.
3. Bishop Hartley (7-1)
Games this week: L vs. #9 Jonathan Alder, Friday vs. Whitehall
Bishop Hartley dominated mostly every team they played leading up to the loss to Alder. The Hawks will still be a threat for the top seed in the district if they can continue to take care of their business.
