Division II and III Top 10 - Week 2
Here's our latest rankings for Divisions II and III after opening weekend
Opening weekend gave us a top 10 matchup which shakes up the rankings going into Week 2. Worthington Christian narrowly edged Africentric at Reynoldsburg on Saturday, helping the Warriors move up two spots this week. River Valley notched the biggest win of the week, however, knocking off No. 17 (D1) Olentangy Berlin by 17 points.
Here’s our latest power rankings for Divisions II and III.
1. Columbus Academy (1-0)
Last Week: #2
Last Week Games: Win vs. Northside Christian
This Week Games: Wednesday at Patriot Prep, Friday at Whitehall
Bottom line: Columbus Academy will have a target on its back in most games it plays this year as the Vikings are one of the most talented teams in small school basketball. Friday’s Central Buckeye League opener at Whitehall will be a challenge for Academy.
2. Harvest Prep (0-0)
Last Week: #3
This Week Games: Tuesday vs. Fairfield Christian, Saturday at Fisher Catholic
Bottom line: Harvest Prep played the role of scout this past weekend, checking out Friday’s OCC banger between Westerville South and Gahanna Lincoln. The Warriors begin a quest for what feels like will be their 20th MSL-Cardinal title in a row this week with two league games.
