COLUMBUS, Ohio - - In the most exciting game at Ohio Dominican on the day, Bishop Watterson claimed a district championship behind Sophie Ziel’s electric 32 points, the Eagles and Indians were in a battle all game long, with the biggest lead for any team being eight points and that came at the opening of the game when Marysville started the game 8-0. In overtime, Watterson iced the game with free throws to walk away with the victory.

Below is an analysis of the best players from the game, including an MVP performance from Ziel and the Marysville young ladies that stepped up for their team.

Sophie Ziel (5’8 Point Guard / Bishop Watterson / 2025): It was clear from the beginning of the game that she was on a mission, not to allow her team to lose. The junior guard scored all eight of her team's points in the fourth quarter, including a baseline jumper to tie the game and essentially force overtime.
