Hartley ends their two-game slide, picks up a key road win over red hot Watterson

COLUMBUS, OH - Before the biggest snow storm of the year, Friday night hoops were alive and well. The evening was highlighted by a clash between two bitter conference rivals: #1 D3 Bishop Watterson and #4 D3 Bishop Hartley out of the Central Catholic League.
Watterson has gotten off to a hot start at 11-2 and 2-0 in the conference, as veteran head coach Vince Lombardo was looking for his 502nd win as the Eagles signal caller. The school’s athletics is also in its most successful period in general, as they have won three state championships in three different sports this school year thus far (Football, Boy’s Soccer, and Girl’s Cross Country).
On the flip side, Hartley has dealt with some adversity, losing starting center Marcus Hemphill to transfer at the beginning of the season. The Hawks haven’t wavered, however, beginning the season 10-3 overall and 1-1 in the league.
