SUNBURY, OH - During a time of trial, resiliency is the most important attribute one can have.

Early in the season, the Big Walnut Eagles from the OCC-Capital lost senior floor general Brody Hatfield and junior post Jackson Bowers to season-ending injuries. These absences significantly hindered the rhythm of the defending DII regional runners up, as they ended the regular season at 13-9, which was well below their expectations.

Despite these obstacles, the veteran #5 seed Eagles have scratched and clawed their way back to dominance, which continued in an 88-59 win over #12 seed Canal Winchester on Tuesday. The win gave them their second straight birth in the district championship game.
