Big Walnut maintains league lead with win on Friday

SUNBURY, Ohio -- Big Walnut rallied to beat Canal Winchester Friday night in OCC Capital action to remain tied at the top of the division. The Golden Eagles trailed by 11 points at the end of the first quarter before things started to click. Big Walnut outscored Canal Winchester 9-2 in the second period to pull within three and give them life heading into halftime. The Golden Eagles picked up right where they left off to start the second half, outscoring the Indians 14-7 to take a lead headed into the fourth. Despite the best efforts from CW, BW stretched their lead to ten in the final frame and left with a 43-37 victory. The win was a total team effort with three players scoring in double figures and numerous others contributing on the board and with assists. Let’s take a look at Friday’s top performers.
